Facebook issue...SOLVED!

So if you read my last post (which was a mad mans rantings) you’d know that the reason I was unable to connect to my Facebook was because I was indeed locked out. Why? You may ask. Because Facebook was doing a security thing to see if I was a real person, so they sent a verification number via text to my phone. You see, that’s a bad thing considering I do not have access to my now deactivated phone because I am living in Taiwan.
I was so upset at first; I simply could not get over the fact that I was not able to access my account. I had to really dig deep to find a way to contact Facebook and when I found some ways to email them, there was no assurance that they would actually see my email. I got to the point where I was considering reactivating my phone or making a whole new account. I really didn’t want a whole new account considering I would lose all of the things that I had built up on my Facebook over the years.
It all started on Thursday (My Thanksgiving) and it wasn’t until Monday that I realized something. I was upset because I was not able to get on Facebook, something that I had been overusing for the past few years. I had been using Facebook way too often, and not using that time to do things that would benefit my walk with Christ. So that night as I lay in bed, I resolved that I may never get my Facebook back, and if that was the case, I was okay with it. The next morning I felt a little uneasy about that fact, but after my quiet time I was sure that my current Facebook condition did not matter at all.
After that, I checked my email and found a response from Facebook telling me that I am now able to access my account, and they were sorry for the inconvenience. I could not believe my eyes. I was ready for an empty inbox but when I opened it up I had an email saying that I could get my Facebook back. So what did I learn from this whole situation? I have spent way too many unnecessary hours on Facebook, and now I no longer feel so compelled to stay on for hours on end. PTL
Oh and on another note, the reason Facebook took so long to reply was because it all started on a four day weekend. Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. That’s why it took so long!

UUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The most annoying thing just happened. Facebook is doing some account verification thing to see if I am a real human, not just spam. So they decided it was a brilliant idea to send me a verification code to my phone through a text… I DON’T HAVE THAT PHONE ANYMORE! UGH UGH UGH UGH UGH!
I seriously don’t know what to do since Facebook doesn’t have a support center just “commonly asked questions” that have nothing to do with my case! I am at a complete loss for words and actions. I don’t know what to do. Will I ever be able to log back into my Facebook again? They’ll probably delete it since I didn’t respond! Why does Facebook not know that something like this would happen? I should be able to send a verification code to my email, and I could clear this all up but NO they just sent it to my phone and aren’t giving me any ways to do anything about it! None of their stupid “common problems” have anything to do with what is going on. I am completely annoyed.
As of now I just sent this message “Hello there, I am the previous owner of this number, and I need your help. You see I had my phone number as the Facebook contact for security, and forgot to change the number on facebook when I changed numbers. Now Facebook is doing a security check and it said it sent a confirmation code to my phone number. This is a big problem since I no longer have the number I can’t use the code to log into my Facebook. Can you please help me?” to my old phone number hoping the owner of that number now can help me… probably not but you can’t blame a guy for trying… this is so upsetting, and I can’t even rant about it on my favorite place to rant (Facebook)
Happy Thanksgiving, Aaron.
